Lesson 1: What should your visitor do?
Before choosing colours or writing copy, decide what your website should help someone do. A restaurant might need menu browsing and ordering. A tutor might need a way to request a lesson.
Write one sentence: “My website helps my customers ______.” Use that goal to decide what belongs on your first page.
Your quick exercise
List your business name, your main service and the one action you want visitors to take. Those three things form the starting point for your homepage.
